All Subversion repositories and servers are hosted at Rackspace data centers (located in Virginia, US). We provide multiple levels of backups and redundancy to ensure uptime and peace of mind. This includes:
- Fully redundant slices for Subversion and Web environments
- High-speed, redundant network storage
- Secure off-site backups on every commit to Amazon S3
- SSL encryption on the web and Subversion server for paid accounts
- Separately hosted Help system and Public site
Hosting provider, Rackspace
We chose Rackspace to handle our servers not only for their environment, but for their experience as well. Rackspace has the tools and people available to run and maintain large-scale web applications on a 24/7 basis.
We host our help site and public site at a separate data center in order to provide communication to our customers in the case of downtime at Rackspace. We realize that downtime does happen and communication to our customers is crucial to recovery.
